"Like, totally!" the blonde bubblehead said into the phone. "I thought we were sooo great! Like totally styling!" She shook her pompom in the air to emphasize her point. The school football team had just finished defeating their rivals, and Sandra had called one of the other cheerleaders after she got home to go over how their choreography had been.
"Yeah, I've got a hot date with Billy tonight. I'm sooo excited! I've already changed and everything!" From her lounging position on the couch, Sandra kicked up her legs and admired her brand new red stilletos.
*ding dong*
"Hold on just a sec, Melanie. Someone's at the door. I bet my loser brother forgot his keys again." Rolling her eyes, Sandra put the phone down and made her way to the front door.
*ding dong* "Hold your horses! God, Josh, you're such an idiot! I shouldn't let you in just to teach you a lesson!"
*ding dong*
"I'm coming! I'm coming!" She opened the door to reveal a person with a ski mask and a poncho on.
"Josh, what are you wearing?! It's a sunny day! Sometimes I'm embarrassed to be seen with you. Why are you wearing a poncho?" Sandra eyed him distastefully.
"That way I won't get your blood on my clothes," the masked figure said, and he moved his hand from behind his back to reveal a butcher knife.
"You're. . . you're not Josh!" As the masked figure moved forward, Sandra turned and ran like a bat out of hell. "Help!" She screamed as she raced up the stairs. "Melanie! Call the police!" Her stiletto heel caught on a step and sent her sprawling. Meanwhile, her would-be killer continued his slow, deliberate movements towards her.
Getting up to her feet, Sandra ran towards the attic. "Don't kill me! I'm too beautiful to die!" She tried to shut the door on him, but it was too late. He pushed his way in, and she had nowhere left to run.
Her screams echoed through the house, and then all was silent.
